Wesley Willows Corporation in Rockford, IL is hiring a Security Guard for the overnight shift. The position is full-time, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, offering $17.00 per hour with a $2 shift differential. The role focuses on monitoring alarms, patrols, and ensuring resident safety.

You will conduct temperature checks, manage trash removal, and respond to emergencies while maintaining calm under pressure. A high school diploma is required, and experience in building maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of experience in general building maintenance with basic knowledge of heating and cooling systems.
• Must be able to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to all building and campus alarm systems, including resident medical emergencies.
• Conduct temperature checks in boiler rooms and kitchens to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
• Remove resident trash from hallways and empty garbage, recycling, and soiled linen bins each shift.
• Patrol the campus, noting open garage doors, unlit post lights, and suspicious individuals or vehicles. Take appropriate action, including questioning individuals or contacting law enforcement.
• Support resident relations by addressing concerns promptly, maintaining communication with the Facilities Supervisor, and completing assigned special projects.
