Job summary

Basin Harbor in Vergennes, Vermont, is seeking an Overnight Security staffer for the seasonal, full-time role to protect guests, staff, and property at our lakeside retreat.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring surveillance, enforcing access control, and responding to emergencies with a strong emphasis on guest relations and safety. Candidates should be able to work holidays and weekends and pass a background check.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patrols premises to ensure guest, staff, and property safety.
• Monitors surveillance systems and enforces access control.
• Responds to emergencies and security breaches.
• Addresses guest disturbances while maintaining a visible presence.
• Coordinates with local authorities as needed.

Our Overnight Security staff ensures the safety of guests, staff, and property by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and enforcing access control. They handle emergencies, respond to security breaches, and address guest disturbances, maintaining a visible presence to deter crime as a seasonal Full-time employee.

Requirements

Preference given to candidates with Security experience.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• Have the stamina to work up to 10+ hours: sitting, standing and walking
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 25lbs, reach overhead and perform repetitive motion
• May involve walking between venues and climbing stairs between floors
