Job summary

Community House Mental Health Agency in Seattle is hiring a Safety & Security Liaison for the overnight shift, patrolling the Patricia K. building and adjacent grounds, handling incidents with de-escalation, and coordinating with local authorities.

A high school diploma is required; ability to obtain a DOL security guard license within 90 days. CPR/First Aid certification and social services experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to prioritize to maximize performance of duties.
• Willingness to apply for DOL security guard license within 90 days of hire.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in social services or de-escalation strategies is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Patrols Patricia K and adjacent grounds, parking lots, and building access points.
• Respond to disruptive events with de-escalation techniques to neutralize situations.
• Provide on-site stand-by service or escort services for tenants as needed.
• Report potential conduct issues to the Director of Housing and Property Manager.
• Coordinate with external safety and law enforcement agencies with courtesy and professionalism.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, drills, and risk assessments.
• Document all incidents using standard processes.
• Perform general cleaning duties when time allows.
