Job summary

Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Irvington, NJ is seeking an RN Supervisor for overnight coverage on a PRN basis from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend. The role provides clinical leadership to nursing staff with a focus on resident safety, regulatory compliance, and quality care.

Qualified candidates hold an active New Jersey RN license with at least 2 years in long‑term care or skilled nursing, plus prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing experience in Long-Term Care/SNF.
• Previous nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the DON and ADON with nursing operations.
• Provide clinical leadership and direction to nursing staff during overnight shifts.
• Ensure staff follow facility policies, procedures and standards of care.
• Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance.
• Address clinical concerns, staffing issues and resident needs promptly.
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing staff.
• Assist with compliance with federal, state and facility regulations.
• Participate in surveys, audits, inspections and quality assurance activities as requested.
• Communicate significant resident, staffing and clinical concerns to nursing leadership.
• Promote teamwork, accountability and quality resident-centered care.
