Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking an Overnight Retail Manager to lead the team responsible for receiving, stocking, and merchandising outcomes that ready the store for opening.

You will direct overnight freight, plan workloads, set performance standards, and ensure a seamless customer experience when doors open. The role requires 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, and flexibility for overnight shifts and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience in receiving operations or multi-department environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot warehouse and logistical issues.
• Strong leadership and team-building and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of retail operations, sales principles, and inventory/merchandising standards.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to be trained.
• Flexible schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct overnight freight processing, replenishment, and stocking while delegating work and adjusting staffing.
• Plan daily workload and coordinate shift transitions between night and day leadership.
• Set clear expectations and coach the overnight team on productivity, quality, safety, and execution.
• Ensure all overnight work is completed on time and maintains a seamless customer experience at open.
• Execute planograms, seasonal transitions, merchandising resets, price changes, and inventory projects.
• Drive inventory accuracy through replenishment and control processes.
• Oversee events, pricing integrity, assortment planning, and advertised item presentation.
• Hire, coach, and manage the overnight team in line with policy and law.
• Predominantly work overnight with occasional other shifts as needed.
