Job summary

Community Access in New York City is seeking a Per Diem Overnight Respite Worker to support the Residential Crisis Support program. You will provide individual and group peer supports, assist with meal planning, and help prepare referrals, intakes, and discharges.

The role requires lived experience with the mental health system, NYS Peer Certification, and the ability to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with the mental health system and the ability to share experiences appropriately.
• NYS Peer Certification, or provisional within 90 days and full certification within one year.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group-based peer supports to guests.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Process referrals, intakes, and discharges for the program.
