Job summary

Pelham Academy, operated by Justice Resource Institute (JRI), seeks an Overnight Residential Counselor to support adolescents in a residential setting. You will help students develop life skills and coping strategies while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment during the overnight shift.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Remain awake throughout overnight shift to ensure safety and wellbeing of students.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
• Available to work holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Support students in developing life skills such as cooking, banking, vocational skills, and more.
• Help students develop a sense of self and provide them with coping strategies.
• Create a safe and therapeutic environment through role modelling and de‑escalation techniques.
