Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Resident Advisor (RA) for Reed House in Philadelphia. The RA will oversee safety and welfare of residents, enforce house rules, handle curfew and fire safety, and work with the team to support residents in a trauma-informed way.

Responsibilities include communicating with the house manager and fellow RAs, performing assigned duties, and ensuring a respectful, secure environment for formerly homeless residents at Reed House, a 66 unit facility funded by city

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak well in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and internet usage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of shelter residents through adherence to house rules, fire safety, and curfew.
• Communicate and support residents in a trauma-informed manner.
• Coordinate with house manager and other staff; perform duties as assigned.
