Job summary

Vista Prairie at Fieldcrest in Sheldon is seeking an Overnight Resident Assistant to help residents rest, stay safe, and feel cared for through the night. You will respond to call lights, perform rounds, and document care per each resident's plan.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and the ability to read and follow instructions. Training toward Iowa medication aide certification is available after hire, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable transportation to the community.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning.
• Check in on residents during the night and respond to call lights.
• Complete overnight rounds and document care per each resident's plan.
• Create a calm, reassuring presence for residents who wake confused or anxious.
• Administer medications following physician orders and Iowa regulations after training.
