Job summary

dWELL Recovery in New York City is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Resident Advisor to support residents, promote recovery, and maintain a safe living environment. The role includes overnights on Mondays and Fridays (12am–8am), with duties spanning resident support, program operations, and compliance.

The position emphasizes relationship-building, daily living skills coaching, and teamwork within a community-driven program. CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in recovery, mental health, or behavioral health is preferred.
• Knowledge of substance use, mental health conditions, and peer recovery support.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide resident support and engage the community.
• Assist with resident schedules, wake-ups, check-ins/check-outs, and transport errands.
• Assist with admissions, orientations, and transitions; communicate needs to leadership.
• Administer safety procedures, document shifts, and report concerns.
• Support house readiness, supplies, and inventories; adapt to crises or staffing changes.
