Job summary

Bronson Sleep Health Lab in Portage, MI seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist for full-time night shifts (7 PM–7 AM) with a 36-hour workweek. The role supports diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies, under supervision, and may involve supervision of staff and trainees.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree or equivalent in Polysomnography or related field, and relevant certifications such as BRPT/ABSM. A strong patient-care orientation and precise data reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Polysomnography, Respiratory Care, or related allied health field required or strongly preferred.
• At least six (6) months of direct patient care experience; or
• Successful completion in a program accredited by the CAAHEP or CoARC program.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify patient needs and determine testing parameters with the ordering physician.
• Score sleep/wake stages using current AASM standards for diagnostic accuracy.
• Prepare patients for sleep studies and explain procedures; calibrate equipment and apply sensors.
• Independently score sleep stages and events; document observations and results clearly and timely.
• Support adherence to AASM, Joint Commission, CMS, and payer requirements and participate in quality assurance.
