Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Operating Room and Anesthesia Technician at Beverly Hospital in Beverly, MA. You will work as part of the anesthesia, nursing, and surgical teams to support patient care in the OR, including room setup, turnover, patient transport, and limb support during surgical prep.

The role may involve assisting with intubation/extubation, evaluating new equipment, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Cleans and maintains all anesthesia & operating room equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with materials management to ensure adequate and appropriate anesthesia and operating room supplies are available at all times.
• Responsible for assisting nursing staff in the rooms as needed and directed (i.e. turning, moving anesthetized patients, holding of extremities for surgical prep, gathering of equipment, etc.).

Responsibilities

• The Operating Room and Anesthesia Technician works as an integral part of the healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered.
• Prioritization of patient care tasks at hand and communication with health care team members is an important factor in performing the duties of this role.
• Other duties include the handling of infectious waste, sharps, and maintaining order and cleanliness in the restricted areas.
