Job summary

New Hope is seeking an Overnight Nurse to provide skilled nursing care in our ICF homes in Carroll, IA. You will administer medications, monitor health, and respond to overnight needs to ensure safety and comfort for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

These 10-hour night shifts Sunday to Wednesday with occasional weekend coverage require a state-approved practical nursing program and an unencumbered RN or LPN license, plus ability to lift and transfer, and a valid

Qualifications

Requires state-approved practical nursing program.
Unencumbered Iowa RN or LPN license required.
Valid driver’s license and chauffeur’s license (D3).
Excellent documentation skills and ability to maintain eMAR records.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to individuals with IDD in ICF homes.
Monitor residents’ health and respond to changes or concerns during overnight hours.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
Respond to overnight health calls and provide clinical guidance to staff.
Assist with daily living activities and mobility, including hygiene and nutrition.
Maintain organized medications, supplies, and health records.
Advocate for residents’ rights, dignity, and independence.
Collaborate with staff and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
