Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Non-CDL Yard Hostler in Georgetown, TX, offering a 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM shift with seasonal openings. The role involves operating a yard goat, trailer spotting, and yard management while ensuring safety and efficiency. Home daily, no overnight driving.

The position requires at least 6 months in yard hostling, experience with yard goats/yard trucks (automatic), and strong trailer handling. CDL not required, valid license needed, and ability to work weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of yard hostling experience.
• Experience operating yard goat or yard truck with automatic transmission.
• Strong trailer staging, maneuvering, and yard operations experience.
• Ability to safely couple and uncouple trailers.
• Excellent blindside backing skills.
• Experience in distribution, transportation, warehouse, or logistics yard environments preferred.
• Ability to follow dispatch instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a yard goat to move, stage, and position trailers within the yard.
• Perform trailer spotting and yard management activities.
• Couple and uncouple trailers safely and efficiently.
• Conduct equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with yard personnel.
• Maintain a safe and organized yard environment.
• Support daily transportation and distribution operations.
