Job summary

The Cradle Company in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Short-Term Overnight Newborn Care Specialist to provide dedicated night care for a 1-week-old infant. The role focuses on the baby and supporting a calm postpartum environment, including sleep routines and breastfeeding support.

The ideal candidate is patient, caring, and deeply attuned to family needs, with minimum four years of hands-on newborn care and current Infant CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Certified Newborn Care Specialist with at least four years of professional newborn experience (0–6 months).
• Infant CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Fully vaccinated: TDAP, TB test, COVID vaccines (first two, boosters) and seasonal flu vaccine.
• Patient, calm, and attuned to both infant and family needs; can educate and reassure new parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a 1-week-old infant at night.
• Provide night care support as needed to maintain sleep routines.
• Support healthy sleep rhythms and gentle age-appropriate routines aligned with family preferences.
• Support breastfeeding, tracking, and clear communication with parents.
• Diapering, bathing, soothing, and age-appropriate interaction.
