Job summary

Morrison-Child and Family Services is seeking a Milieu Counselor for the Long Term Group Home on the overnight shift. You will provide direct care supervision, maintain a safe environment for Unaccompanied Children, and work within ORR licensing standards and agency policies.

The role includes supervising youth, assisting with daily living skills, transporting youth to appointments, administering medications, and participating in meals and activities per program requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of employment experience in the child welfare field.
• Driver license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of milieu and youth activities per daily schedule.
• Document services promptly including incident reports and shift summaries.
• Transport or accompany youth to local appointments and outings.
• De-escalate youth using behavior management techniques and follow up as needed.
• Perform physical restraints as a last resort following approved crisis intervention.
• Administer medication with proper documentation and disposal.
• Adhere to Compliance Standards of Conduct and complete required trainings.
• Support Sanctuary Model and organizational policies; participate in staff development.
