Job summary

Open Door Mission seeks a Part Time Overnight Men's Support Worker at the Garland Thompson Men’s Center in Omaha. The role provides direct guest services, supervision, and support for case managers to maintain a safe, structured night operation.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a Christ-centered ethic, strong communication, and crisis-management skills, with a background in human services and a valid driver’s license. Evening/night shifts offer a meaningful, service-driven schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guests and GTMC areas; supervise mealtimes.
• Provide emergency crisis counseling, problem-solving, and de-escalation.
• Provide medication access, control, and documentation.
• Perform closing procedures at the end of each day.
• Administer drug and alcohol tests.
• Exemplify Jesus Christ and share the gospel when opportunities arise.
