Job summary

Open Door Mission in Omaha is seeking an Evening Men's Support Worker to provide compassionate crisis support and supervision at the Garland Thompson Men''s Center. The role focuses on safety, meal supervision, and supportive care for guests in a faith-based setting.

You will engage in crisis de-escalation, document incidents, assist with medication access, and help maintain a welcoming, Christ-centered environment for residents and staff during evening hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in Human Services or related field.
• Valid driver''s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guests and GTMC areas; supervise mealtimes and manage crises.
• Provide emergency crisis counseling, problem-solving, and de-escalation.
• Provide medication access, control, and documentation.
• Perform closing procedures daily.
• Administer drug and alcohol tests.
• Exemplify Jesus Christ daily; share gospel or pray with others when opportunities arise.
