Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Taylor, MI is seeking a Plant Operator to support our medical waste treatment facility. You will handle containers, assist with paperwork, and operate autoclave and Washsmart systems while collaborating with a warehouse team.

This full-time night-shift role offers stable hours, benefits from day one, and overtime opportunities. The job requires lifting up to 55 lbs, standing long periods, and a can-do attitude to ensure safety and accuracy in waste processing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job with heavy lifting.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Willingness to pass a 5 panel urine drug screen and a 7-year background check.
• Comfort with PPE and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lift 55 lbs and push a heavy cart, assisting container handling.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate the autoclave machine for material treatment.
• Load the Washsmart container washing + sanitization system.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for container processing.
• Stand for extended periods and work well with a team.
