Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking an Overnight Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Specimen Processing Lab team in New York City.

You will review requisitions, prepare specimens for testing, maintain organized files, and ensure secure storage of reagents. The role is per diem, 12 am–8 am, 15 hours per week, on site at the Center for Laboratory Medicine in Manhattan. Pay is $28/hr. This position supports fast-paced testing workflows and collaboration with hospital staff.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma/GED + 1-2 years of confirmed experience.
• Strong digital literacy in Word and Excel.

Aufgaben

• Review requisitions and order entry orders to verify the accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enter required data into the computer
• Prepare specimens for testing or send out to another laboratory for testing using the laboratory computer system
• Maintain a complete, accurate, and organized file system, filing addition/correction sheets, requisitions, and reference laboratories' results according to laboratory guidelines
• Maintain an organized and secure supply area and reagent storage area to ensure easy access to reagents, chemicals, and supplies
• Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area
