Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Medical Courier in Gainesville, FL to handle shipment and delivery of blood and blood components. Third shift runs Friday through Monday, 10:00pm–8:30am, four days per week.

The role emphasizes accurate timing, safety, and excellent customer service while supporting hospitals and community partners. Full-time position with competitive benefits and background checks required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and must meet LifeSouth eligibility requirements.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and on-call.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent teamwork and written/spoken communication abilities.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand/walk, lift up to 70 pounds, and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Review shipping notices, orders and records to determine priorities and methods to meet deadlines.
• Receive and carry out blood orders from hospitals and customers.
• Inspect and evaluate blood products for safety, purity and potency.
• Package and deliver blood products to service area clients or other agencies.
• Run errands, deliver documents, pick up supplies, and transport small items for repair.
• Assist Hospital Services Team Leader with resolving issues per SOP.
• Provide top-tier customer service to internal and external customers.
