LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. is seeking a Specialty Product Services Specialist in Gainesville, FL. You will manage storage, inventory, preparation, documentation, and shipment of blood components with strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires precision, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, and independent decision-making while ensuring safety and excellent service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to learn blood bank software.

Responsabilités

• Complete all tasks timely, accurately, and in compliance with SOPs; follow PPE policies.
• Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and materials.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist with resolving customer complaints or issues as directed.
• Comply with federal and state laws about confidentiality and privacy of health information.
• Report deviations and assist with closure as needed.
• Represent LifeSouth favorably to the public and institutions.
• Receive, inspect, and evaluate blood products for safety and potency; quarantine non-conforming items.
• Review shipping documents to determine priorities and methods.
• Pack blood products for shipment according to procedures.
• Perform temperature monitoring of storage equipment.
• Perform daily equipment quality control and report malfunctions.
• Prepare and maintain shipment documents for customer/product requirements.
• Receive and process blood orders via software.
• Ensure records comply with privacy regulations.
