Job summary

OneBlood in Jacksonville, FL seeks a full-time overnight driver to transport blood, blood products, campus mail, supplies and medical equipment across processing centers, branches, blood drive sites and hospitals. Shift 10:00pm–8:30am, Wednesday–Saturday, with schedule flexibility. Training is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm for 1–2 weeks.

A potential shift differential of $1.50–$4.50 per hour may apply. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year route delivery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year route delivery experience preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures and routes.

Responsibilities

• Transport blood, blood products, campus mail, supplies and medical equipment using assigned vehicle.
• Practice safe driving and adhere to regulations.
• Load and unload vehicles using proper lifting techniques.
• Deliver inventory to designated points within a route; may travel with packages in emergencies.
• Maintain logs of items received and delivered; document daily activities.
• Conduct basic safety checks of the vehicle prior to departure; report issues.
• Backup on-call driver for other shifts as needed.
• Notify supervisor of concerns or delays.
