Job summary

Colonial Garden, a Navion Senior Living community, seeks Certified Medication Technicians for full-time overnight shifts from 7pm to 7am to support residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Care setting.

You will provide high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and teamwork with staff. Minimum requirements include HS diploma, 18+, Medication Aide course, and CNA or PCA certification, plus strong communication and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work safely in an environment caring for seniors without posing health or safety risks.
• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relations with residents, family members, and staff.
• Promote and protect residents' rights with dignity and respect.
• Attend in-service education and continuing education as required by state regulations.
• Remain calm and professional under stressful conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Adhere to community dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Report all changes in a resident's condition promptly to supervisors.
• Complete assigned tasks and schedules according to community policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment safely, using only equipment for which training has been provided.
• Implement infection control practices consistently.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures, reporting safety violations appropriately.
