Job summary
Our Client is a rapidly growing manufacturing company near Grand Rapids, MI, producing high-quality plastic components for automotive interiors. A Maintenance Technician will ensure reliability and efficiency of production equipment in a fast-paced plant, focusing on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and downtime reduction.
The role requires hands-on, detail-oriented candidates committed to safety and performance.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven industrial manufacturing maintenance experience in mechanical/hydraulic and electrical/electronics.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably automotive.
- Ability to troubleshoot Keyence SR fixed mount barcode scanners.
- Ability to troubleshoot Keyence vision sensors (IV, IV2, IV3).
- Knowledge of changing IP addresses on technician computers is a plus.
- Safety relays, safety interlocks, and functional machine safety understanding.
- Troubleshooting and repairing light assembly mechatronics.
- Ability to troubleshoot 24VDC sensors and 480VAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Identify causes of unexpected machine breakdowns.
- Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Perform preventive maintenance and service on machines.
- Clean, inspect, and reinstall parts as needed.
- Oil and lubricate moving parts for performance.
- Record damaged or worn parts and report.
- Install replacement parts.
- Prepare reports of work performed.
- Maintain shop areas, tools, and supplies.
- Assist with new or removed equipment.
- Perform basic building and grounds duties.
- Follow organizational standards.
