Job summary

Our Client in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability and efficiency of production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minimizing downtime to support continuous operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented and committed to safety and high performance standards, with prior experience in automotive manufacturing and proficiency with Keyence sensors and scanners.

Qualifications

3+ years of proven industrial manufacturing maintenance experience, specifically in mechanical/hydraulic and electrical/electronics.
Prior experience in high volume manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
Ability to use a computer to troubleshoot Keyence SR fixed mount barcode scanners.
Ability to use a computer to troubleshoot Keyence IV, IV2, and IV3 vision sensors.

Responsibilities

Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Perform preventive maintenance and work order service on machines.
Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Install replacement parts for machines.
Prepare reports documenting work performed.
Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
May assist with new equipment being added or old equipment removed.
Perform building and ground duties. Example – basic plumbing and snow removal.
Follow organization standards.
