Job summary

100Hires, Inc. in Batavia, IL is seeking a Production Line Mechanic to maintain and repair high-speed production equipment, including mechanical drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and packaging lines.

You will troubleshoot with electrical staff and perform preventative maintenance. The role requires hands-on experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work 7 PM–7 AM shifts with occasional weekends and overtime at double time after 48 hours.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as Production Line Mechanic or Technician.
• Experience with packaging or can making equipment is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Ability to use maintenance shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with high-speed production line equipment (drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors).
• Collaborate with Electrical staff to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely, cost effectively and on time.
• Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Request the design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Take lead to consult with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and keep spaces free from debris.
