Job summary

Ferrara Candy Company in Illinois seeks an Overnight Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain plant equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires work on 12-hour shifts from 5pm to 5:30am, with overtime as needed.

You will work on conveyors, carton machines, bag machines and related equipment, ensuring continuous operation and adherence to safety and quality standards. Prior manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in maintenance and repair of related manufacturing equipment.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems, preferably in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery to ensure continuous production.
• Perform preventive maintenance and project work.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions and repair components.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components using appropriate test equipment.
• Adhere to GMP and safety standards; support Ferrara Candy Company objectives.
