Shaner Hotels is seeking an Overnight Maintenance Engineer to perform upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on ice machines, refrigeration units and air handling systems in our Buffalo, NY property.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial refrigeration experience, a customer‑service mindset and is willing to work overnights, weekends and holidays. This is a full‑time role with benefits, including health insurance, PTO and hotel staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Two years of hotel maintenance experience, franchised hotels preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact positively with hotel personnel and provide prompt solutions to problems.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Overnight maintenance of ice machines, refrigeration units, and air handling units.
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance per brand standards.
• Deliver guest-focused service and respond to issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and maintenance schedules.
