Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a full-time engineer responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units and air handling units. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial refrigeration and a customer-service mindset to enhance guest satisfaction.

Evening, weekend and holiday hours may be required. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, with experience in hotel maintenance preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a hotel setting; franchised hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer interaction and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units and air handling units.
• Uphold Shaner Hotels standards and guest experience.
• Evening, weekend and holiday hours may be required.
• Assist with inventories as scheduled.
• Follow maintenance programs and cleaning schedules.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
