Job summary

Sika is seeking an experienced Overnight Maintenance Electrician to support the Roofing business in Canton, MA. The B-Shift runs Sun, Mon, Tue and every other Wed, 6pm–6am, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment.

Candidates must be a MA licensed journeyman electrician with at least 5 years in industrial/manufacturing settings and be able to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed journeyman electrician in Massachusetts is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
• Experience with PLC controlled production lines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines and systems in buildings, including mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment (voltmeter, ohmmeter, megohmmeter).
• Work on completing work orders and maintenance logs safely and thoroughly.
• Perform preventative maintenance and support shift operations.

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business.

The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled. The shift, B-Shift will be Sun, Mon, Tues and every other Wednesday 6pm to 6am. and will play a key role in performing preventative maintenance.Salary Range: Base rate with a 20% shift differential based on education, experience and qualifications of the applicant

• Must have experience in running EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT form 1/2\" to 2\", (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.).
• Must have experience with repair, installs, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment. With an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems
• Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
• This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC Controlled Equipment. Knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
• Work on your own and be as professional as possible completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance log books
• Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health and safety

• High School Degree
• Must be a Licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts
• 5 years industrial or manufacturing related work experience
• Understanding of PLC controlled production lines
