Job summary

Sika seeks an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our Roofing team in Canton, MA. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and PLC controlled equipment across facilities. Various shifts with 10% day and 20% night differential.

MA Journeyman license and 5 years industrial experience required; strong knowledge of electrical networks and safety essential. Responsibilities include running EMT/conduit, testing circuits, and maintaining preventative maintenance logs while working

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician in Massachusetts.
• 5+ years industrial/manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of PLC controlled production lines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Run EMT, conduit, and bending from 1/2" to 2" as required.
• Troubleshoot circuits, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Maintain preventative maintenance logs and safety records.

Job Description

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electricians to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business.

The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled. Various shifts available. and will play a key role in performing preventative maintenance.Shift Differential is paid (10% for 12 hour day shift and 20% for 12 hour night shift).

• Must have experience in running EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT form 1/2" to 2", (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.).
• Must have experience with repair, installs, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment. With an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems
• Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
• This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC Controlled Equipment. Knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
• Work on your own and be as professional as possible completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance log books
• Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health and safety

Qualifications

• High School Degree
• Must be a Licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts
• 5 years industrial or manufacturing related work experience
• Understanding of PLC controlled production lines
