Job summary

The Summit of Winter Garden in Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to lead the wellness team during overnight shifts. You will supervise caregivers, coordinate resident care, administer medications, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Must be a licensed nurse in state where you work.
• Minimum of two years' nursing experience.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred.
• Dementia care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delegates work assignments assuring effective shift coverage; Coordinates care on the shift.
• Participates in and supervises the delivery of personal care to residents.
• Implements the service plans and collects data regarding health status of residents.
• Acts as team leader for shift; coaches RCAs/MTs and applies discipline as needed.
• Maintains professional demeanor with residents and families.
• Reports suspected abuse and takes appropriate action.
• Administers medications according to physician orders and documents on MAR.
• Transcribes orders, reviews MARs for accuracy, notifies pharmacy of changes.
• Responds to emergencies promptly and calmly.
• Onboards and evaluates new associates on the shift.
• Monitors e-call system and resident charts; notes significant changes to physician.
• Follows CDC, OSHA safety rules and uses required equipment.
• Documents and reports resident incidents per state regulations.
