Job summary

St. Joseph Institute for Addiction seeks a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care on an assigned unit, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and develop individualized care plans for clients in a behavioral health setting.

The RN will assess, document, and communicate client changes to the treatment team, administer medications with safety, participate in unit activities, and educate clients and families about conditions and care. This is an on-site, non-remote role.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience in clinical or behavioral health settings preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care with individualized care plans.
• Assess client status and communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and monitor effects with safety and accuracy.
• Maintain medical records and educate clients and families.
• Document thoroughly and ensure hand-offs to oncoming staff.
