Job summary

The Arc Western Montana in Missoula, MT is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional for the Overnight Shift to support adults with IDD in a safe, respectful setting. You will train overnight staff, coordinate across homes, and ensure continuity of care while working nights.

You will provide daily living assistance, document records, and help maintain licensing compliance, all within a mission-driven team culture. Strong communication and leadership are valued for this important role.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is required, ideally as a Direct Support Professional, CNA, PCA, or similar role
• Five years of driving experience with a clear enough record to satisfy our insurer
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities during overnight shifts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Some experience as a leader or trainer would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Provide support for daily living activities including meals, hygiene, and medication assistance
• Visit multiple homes each night as needed and assist with filling overnight shifts
• Train and guide overnight staff, ensuring adherence to program standards and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and client records in electronic systems
• Support consistency of care by bridging communication between shifts
• Perform household tasks such as deep cleaning, inventory, and ensuring homes meet licensing requirements
• Create beneficial client projects for use by other shift staff
