Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Port Jefferson, NY is seeking an Overnight Lab Aide to join our clinical laboratory team.

You will perform routine tasks, operate centrifuges, manage supplies, and uphold safety and HIPAA requirements, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 1 year lab ops preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lab tasks, pending logs, restocking of supplies, and archiving completed work.
• Operate and maintain centrifuges and processing equipment used in the Laboratory Services Department.
• Maintain safety and quality assurance procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with lab workflow, inventory counts, and documentation in EMR systems.
• Interact professionally with supervisors, managers, and coworkers.
