Job summary

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Medical Assistant - Float to support multiple NYCBS locations. You will manage patient intake, record vitals and history, and assist providers during exams.

The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, point-of-care tests, EKGs, LIS/EMR entries, and lab support across sites, with travel between Babylon, Bethpage, Patchogue, Valley Stream, and Islip.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of outpatient care or lab experience.
• Proficient in EMR/LIS systems (LABDAQ).
• Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes, vitals, and medical history.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with proper labeling.
• Conduct point-of-care tests and EKGs under supervision.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during visits.
• Sterilize and maintain medical equipment.
• Support LIS/EMR data entry and documentation.
