Job summary

Wonder is hiring a Shift Supervisor in Westfield, NJ, to oversee kitchen operations and uphold top-quality food and service for guests. You will lead the restaurant team during opening, service, and closing, coordinate with chef leadership, manage orders and inventory, and ensure safety, sanitation, and cost controls are met.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a QSR or full-service restaurant, strong communication skills, and a professional leadership style.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience supervising and/or leading team members in a QSR or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a drive for efficiency and accuracy.
• Professionalism and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team in opening, prep, service, and closing duties.
• Coordinate with chef leadership and other departments to ensure guests receive high-quality service.
• Receive and process kitchen orders and deliveries per company protocol.
• Maintain communication with staff to ensure adequate stock and assist with supplies and ordering.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices across back-of-house areas.
• Monitor kitchen costs and ensure budget guidelines are followed.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and is in good working order.
• Conduct briefings with front- and back-of-house staff pre- and post-service.
• Ensure operating and quality standards are met.
• Demonstrate professional and ethical leadership.
• Participate in training, coaching, and development for restaurant employees.
