Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an overnight third shift at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. The role supports dispensing, order entry, and customer interactions while complying with regulatory standards.

The position requires a high school graduate, eligible licensure, and possibly immunization certifications. Schedule is 7 on/7 off with 10-hour shifts and 32 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician licensure or eligibility; CPhT or ExCPT certification within two years of hire.
• Patient-facing teammates may need Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certifications per WI or approved programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing medications and the department’s information systems and automation.
• Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal requirements.
• Enters medication orders in the computer system and processes medication requests.
• Manages calls from nurses, physicians or patients with timely resolution or proper hand-off.
• Maintains pharmacy procedures and documentation to satisfy legal, regulatory, and department standards.
• Complies with USP procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., DNV).
