Advocate Health is seeking an overnight Pharmacy Technician at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center - Pharmacy. This full-time, 32-hour-per-week position operates on a 7 on / 7 off schedule with 10-hour shifts, during the 3rd shift.

Salary range is listed between $21.85 and $32.80 hourly. The role focuses on dispensing, order entry, and maintaining documentation per regulatory standards, with licensure/certification required within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires IL licensure (state registration) and Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student; CPHT/ExCPT certification within two years of hire; must sit for exam within first year.
• Education: High School Graduate.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong mathematical, communication and computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications using department information systems and automation.
• Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products per USP/state/federal guidance.
• Develops competence in entering medication orders in the computer system and processing requests.
• Manages calls from nurses, physicians and patients; resolves or appropriately hands off issues.
• Adheres to pharmacy procedures and documentation; complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Performs other related duties as required.
