Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Licensure (IL only): State of Wisconsin (registration). Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student; Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire.
• Must sit for the certification exam at least one time within the first year of employment.
• Patient facing teammates may be required to have two certifications: Immunization and non-vaccine injectable.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications, including use of information systems, technology, and automation for dispensing and storage.
• Prepares non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal requirements.
• Enters medication orders in the computer system and processes medication requests via the computer system.
• Manages phone calls from customers and team members, with timely resolution or hand-off as needed.
• Follows pharmacy procedures and documentation, meeting legal and accreditation standards.
• Complies with regulatory requirements including USP procedures and DNV standards.
