Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Conshohocken, PA is hiring a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Critical Care team. In this role, you'll sharpen your critical thinking and grow your skills while managing a variety of hospitalized cases.

This position is eligible for up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus based on credentialing and experience. Schedule is 3x12s, and pay ranges from $22.15 to $44.00 per hour with competitive shift differentials.

Responsibilities

• Continuous monitoring of critical patients (vitals, ECG, blood pressure, oxygenation, neurologic status)
• Administering medications, CRIs, blood products, fluids, and emergency drugs
• Managing oxygen therapy, ventilators, feeding tubes, urinary catheters, chest tubes, and central lines
• Assisting with emergency procedures such as CPR, intubation, thoracocentesis, wound care, and stabilization
• Performing diagnostics like blood draws, lab work, imaging prep, and sample collection
• Pain management and patient comfort for trauma, post-op, or medically complex cases
• Frequent reassessment and recognizing subtle changes in condition quickly
• Communicating updates to veterinarians and collaborating on treatment plans
• Educating and updating pet owners during critical hospitalizations
• Maintaining detailed medical records and treatment sheets
