Veterinary Specialty Hospital North County is seeking an ICU Veterinary Technician / Assistant to join its Emergency and Critical Care team. Work alongside board-certified surgeons and critical care specialists in a structured ICU environment with opportunities for day or overnight shifts.

Minimum 2 years ER or specialty ICU experience required; RVT license preferred. Excellent monitoring skills, critical thinking, and client communication are essential for success in this high-responsibility

Qualifications

• 2+ years ER or specialty ICU experience
• RVT license required
• Ability to monitor critical patients and manage anesthesia recovery

Responsibilities

• Independently manage post-surgical and specialty ICU patients
• Monitor advanced pain protocols and CRIs
• Trend and interpret complex vital parameters
• Support anesthetic recovery for high-acuity cases
• Communicate with Criticalists and specialty teams
• Provide compassionate client communication during critical hospitalizations
• Maintain detailed medical documentation
