Job summary

The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond is seeking an Overnight Housekeeping Cleaner to join our housekeeping team. This role ensures the cleanliness and presentation of public areas and other spaces during overnight hours, with an emphasis on independent work and guest safety.

Responsibilities include deep cleaning, restocking supplies, and assisting with guest room bed stripping as needed. Benefits include employee meals and complimentary parking.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of hotel public areas, including the lobby and corridors.
• Perform deep cleaning and routine maintenance of assigned areas.
• Dust surfaces and fixtures, clean bathrooms, and spot-clean furnishings as needed.
• Strip guest room beds and assist with other housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Empty trash receptacles and remove waste from designated areas.
• Restock housekeeping and cleaning supplies, including assisting with stocking on delivery days.
• Monitor assigned areas and address cleaning needs as they arise.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and use equipment and supplies appropriately.
• Communicate maintenance concerns and safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional hotel areas as needed.
