NYU Langone Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the overnight shift (12a-8a). Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will perform technician duties, manage inventory, stock medications, and assist with sterile compounding and IV room procedures.

You will document receiving in Epic, maintain patient medication profiles, and participate in training of new technicians. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma and 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician or completion of NYU Pharmacy Technician training.
• Pharmacy Technician certification and registration per NYS Education Department.
• Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and dispensing standards.

Responsabilidades

• Completes annual competency assessments.
• Stores, secures, and reviews stock for expired medications.
• Places and expedites orders; verifies receipts and records in Epic.
• Maintains inventory and procurement processes to meet unit needs.
• Performs sterile compounding under supervision and adheres to IV room procedures.
• Maintains and reviews pharmacy files and patient medication profiles.
• Trains newly hired Pharmacy Technicians per guidelines.
• Interacts with health care providers and patients and triages inquiries to a Pharmacist.
