Banner Health is opening a new, state-of-the-art emergency department in Buckeye, Arizona, and seeks a part-time Environmental Services worker. The role involves fast-paced cleaning of patient rooms and common areas, handling biohazard materials per safety procedures, and supporting staff and patients with a clean, safe environment.

Shift is 20 hours/week, with 12:00am–4:30am hours and two days off weekly. Expectations include walking long distances, lifting, pushing a cleaning cart, and

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Must communicate effectively by phone and verbally.
• Must read MSDS and instructions for cleaning chemicals; fill out stickers.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning tasks in patient rooms and assigned areas.
• Empties hampers, trash, and medical waste.
• Restocks supplies across areas of the facility.
• Maintains and logs equipment; ensures proper use and reporting.
• May perform special cleaning projects (windows, walls).
• Responds to questions from patients, staff and visitors; supports customer service goals.
• Works under supervision within a facility/area; serves internal and external customers.
