Job summary
Blue Ridge Care is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for overnight hospice care. This full-time role focuses on overnight nursing, with 8-hour shifts and every other weekend, serving our service area across Virginia.
A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered and shift differentials apply, reflecting the overnight hours. You will assess patients, deliver direct hospice care, document thoroughly, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, support families, and travel to patient homes.
Qualifications
- Current Virginia RN license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Two or more years in hospice, home health, ICU, or related nursing.
- CPR certification current; CHPN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Respond to overnight emergent calls from patients and families.
- Provide overnight visits for symptom changes and end-of-life needs.
- Deliver skilled nursing care per goals and orders.
- Document accurately in the EMR and coordinate care with the team.
- Assist with admissions, crisis visits, and overnight hospice needs.
