Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. in Harrisburg, PA seeks a Lift Operator for full-time, shift-based work in a warehouse environment.

You will report to the shipping office, inspect equipment, replenish pick slots, manage inventory counts, and ensure pallets are staged and lifted safely. Responsibilities include verifying correct products, removing pallets, and maintaining accurate records while working with standard warehouse processes and limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Understand procedures in other warehouse areas for global process awareness.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standard situations.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and currency.
• Good judgement when supervision might not be available.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes pick slots via the view request screen; uses the manual replenish screen if no requests.
• Maintains correct counts and logs discrepancies in inventory.
• Verifies correct product is placed in the correct pick location.
• Removes empty pallets, sorts pallets by good/bad/blue, and stages them in the pallet area.
• Operates the lift safely and parks/recharges it at shift end.

Job Responsibilities for Lift Operator:

• Reports to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for the daily assignment, vehicle inspection sheet and replenishment discrepancies sheet.
• Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet.
• Replenishes pick slots using the view request screen. If no requests exist, uses the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots.
• Maintains correct counts and logs any discrepancies in inventory.
• Verifies that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.
• Removes all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles. Separates the good, bad, and blue pallets and neatly stages in pallet staging area.
• Operates the lift in a safe and efficient manner and parks and recharges lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.

Job Requirements for Lift Operator:

• Have an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions and to deal with ordinary, standardized situations.
• Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding; subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two digit numbers; the four basic arithmetic operations with money; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard; ounce, and pound.
• Good Judgement is required as there are times when immediate supervision might not be available.
