Monarch Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk in Black Hawk, Colorado, is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer for the overnight shift. This full-time position supports electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems across the resort and casino, ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment.

Ideal candidates bring general repair knowledge, OSHA certification, and ability to read schematics; responsibilities include operating lifts, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with teams to uphold

Qualifications

• General knowledge of repairs on wood furniture, carpet, drywall, paint, plumbing, electrical.
• OSHA safety certifications must be obtained and maintained.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools required.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, sketches, or follow verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Check electrical, lighting, and temperature control systems and ensure proper function.
• Perform maintenance duties throughout the casino.
• Repair and fix machinery across the property.
• Maintain property in best condition; ensure safe, clean environment.
• Paint the property.
• Operate lifts safely to perform duties.
• Support exterior maintenance.
• Report failures in lighting, electrical, or HVAC systems.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.
• Must lift heavy items.
• Must bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long shifts.
• Must work from ladders; work from heights.
• Must be mobile in all areas of the casino; tolerate varying noise, temperature, illumination and air quality.

Salary: $29/hr - $33/hr

Responsibilities

• Checks all electrical, lighting, and temperature control systems to ensure they are functioning properly at all times
• Performs maintenance duties throughout the casino
• Fixes machinery throughout the casino
• Makes sure property is kept in best condition possible
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment
• Paints the property
• Operates lifts in a safe manner to perform job duties
• Helps maintain the exterior of the property
• Reports any failures in all casino lighting fixtures, electrical systems, or temperature control units
• Other projects and duties as assigned
• Must be able to lift heavy items
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand and walk for duration of shift
• Must be able to work from a ladder
• This position requires a great deal of work from heights
• Must be mobile in all areas of the casino; and have the ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality

Qualifications
