Job summary

SMI Security is seeking a professional Front Desk Security Officer for an overnight shift at a high-rise residential building in Miami. The role emphasizes a professional front-desk presence and excellent resident, guest, and vendor service.

The ideal candidate will work Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, and must be comfortable working independently, managing packages, and using computer software and electronic systems. Florida security licensing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Front desk, concierge, residential security, or customer-service experience.
• Experience using computer software and electronic security systems.
• Experience handling packages and maintaining package logs preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must meet Florida security licensing and employment requirements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence at the building's front desk.
• Monitor and control access to the property in accordance with established security procedures.
• Greet and assist residents, guests, vendors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Verify visitors and provide access following property security protocols.
• Receive, document, organize, and secure packages per building procedures.
• Accurately enter package information into computer systems.
• Utilize computer software and electronic systems to complete daily security duties.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation throughout the shift.
• Monitor building activity and report unusual or emergency situations.
• Communicate with property management and SMI Security management as needed.
• Work independently with attention to detail and follow post orders.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer-service standard at all times.
• Perform other security and front-desk responsibilities as assigned.
